Wait a second... is Adam working again?

Finally, I have something worthy of showing (so far). Believe it or not, it's a cow. Might get the bronze treatment, might not. Who knows. Enjoy...

Unhappy Rabbit is finished (more or less)

Okay, after a small posting break, the rabbit has been cast in a pink resin and is finished being painted. Clean up needs to be done around the seams, but other than that it's good to go. I have a few images I took during the second layer of silicone was being applied for the mold as well.

Thanks for checking out the progress on this piece!! I will get some better pictures when I finish playing around with it.

Ready for Molding

Added eyes to the sculpt, the piece is complete and ready. It is currently under a layer of silicone now, but here are some pictures I took before I started making the mold.

Thanks for looking!!

Round Two

Here's a couple more pictures after i got a bit of work done on the ears. Eyes still need to be put in. This will most likely be cast in a lightweight, colored resin.

Thanks for looking!

Something a bit different

Long time no post. Started on something new the other day. It's unlike what I normally model, so it's been a fun experience.

A little more cartoonish than usual

Ear in progress

Rhino and Labbit overlooking my process

Thanks for checking in, stay tuned for an image of a rough sketch of my idea for the finished piece.

Cat is finished

Well, I didn't end up modeling this after Lola, but I'm still happy with it. I decided to cast it in cement. I cracked it out of the mold (one piece) earlier this evening, and I think it looks nice.

Thanks for looking!!!!

With a New Year comes new work

Hello everyone. Thank you to everyone who has viewed my blog, even during my small break from posting. I guess this is a good time to start posting again as I just started second semester last week. I have finally started on my first piece tonight. It is still in a rough stage, so bear with me. Hopefully you can see that it is a curled up cat. As soon as I get some reference photos, I will base it on my parents' cat, Lola.

For now, these are the only photos that I have. I am undecided about which road I will follow for the textures, but I will make updates as they happen. I will most likely be casting this in resin.

Thank you for coming back and looking. Hopefully I will have time to post more often.
